Streatham is a fantastic area to own a dog, with Streatham Common sitting at its heart — a large, open green space with sweeping grassland, woodland, wildflower meadows and the beautiful Rookery garden. It's a designated Local Nature Reserve and one of South London's most underrated parks. But like any busy common, it comes with plenty of distractions — other dogs, cyclists, children and summer crowds — that can make walks stressful if your dog hasn't been trained to handle them.
